The Similan Marine National Park Islands are uninhabited beautiful tropical islands surrounded by crystal clear water with wonderful and fascinating coral reefs and a vast array of exotic marine life. The Similans boast 40 metre visibility on most dives, letting you take in the full beauty of the extensive coral reefs, enormous boulder rock formations with swim-throughs and white sandy sea beds. 90% of our liveaboard trips encounter Manta Rays from October to May, and there is are thousands of other amazing creatures to see too, like sharks, cuttlefish, octopus and maybe even whale sharks. With such great visibily, diversity and abundance of marine life, it’s no wonder the Similans are consistently rated as one of the best places to dive in the world.

Phuket Diving Safaris is part of Similan Diving Safaris, a fully certified PADI Dive Center. Our location is 70km north of Phuket Airport & 100km north of Phuket town. We have our Dive Center on the main road in Khao Lak. Here we teach a full range of PADI diving courses: Discover the Reef, Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Emergency First Response, Rescue Diver and Divemaster. Most of the theory we do in Khao Lak – this lets you enjoy your time relaxing and diving in the Similan Islands as part of your course and then as a qualified diver!
The Dive team with Phuket Diving Safaris
You will find our dive team to be professional, friendly, helpful and ready to take care of you on your new adventure holiday. Most European languages and Swedish are spoken here, so for beginners and all other courses you can learn in your home language.
Diving Equipment
All of our diving equipment, tanks and diving gear are manufactured by trusted professional brand name scuba diving manufacturers: Cressi Sub, Scuba Pro and Aqua Lung. Our gear is meticulously maintained to ensure your comfort and safety.
Our BAUER Mariner II compressors have a full service every 6 months so you will find all of our equipment of the highest standard. All items of diving equipment is available for rent on request. We also retail all sorts of diving equipment, log books, dive computers, & BCDs, Fins, Masks, underwater cameras, dry bags and much more.
Phuket Diving Safaris is a member of the SSS Recompression Chamber, a DAN referral center, so you can have worry free diving Adventures knowing we have access to the best Diving Accident Response team in Thailand.
On our liveaboard dive safaris to the Similans, our main priorities on our boats are your safety and comfort. We cater for vegetarian and non vegetarians, and any other special needs you require. Don’t worry about the famous Thai chilies!
